Muizenberg Beach – A family beach perfect for learning water surfing. There are little colorful changing rooms on the beach itself. This beach is extremely long offering a lot of sun space for a long stroll with your loved one...
Boulders Beach –Watch colorful little penguins in action here...they may even surprise you by swimming alongside you. You may also snorkel here. This beach is near the Simon’s town.
Bikini beach – Yes, you guessed it right, this beach is popular for sun bathing.
Gordon's Bay – Great for walks. Strand Beach – Offers shallow waters, ideal for children. The above three Cape Town beaches are in Helderberg region, about 45mintues from Cape Town. Macassar and Mnandi Beach – These beaches are close to the villages like Langa and Khayelishta and are most visited by these people, many of whom are fisherman. So, you may find them catching fresh fish from the ocean... St James and Dalebrook – Have kids? Then come here because there are colorful tidal pools over here for kids to swim. Fish Hoek Cape Town – Very popular with young surfers. Good for sailing and spotting whales during season! Glencairn – Great for swimming, sun bathing or for spotting whales. Atlantic Coast Beaches: Popular for sun facing expensive homes!
Clifton Beach Cape Town - "See and be seen". This beach is one of the most popular and trendy family beaches of the world. It is made up of four parts – called 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The 4th beach has the blue flag status. Watch the paragliders land here.
Sandy Bay Beach – The unofficial nudist beach of Cape Town. It’s a very pretty beach but sadly there are no amenities nearby and the only way to reach this beach is a 20 minute walk from Llandudno beach.
Scarborough - Plenty of sand for sun bathing. Good for kitesurfing and kite flying.
Kommetjie Beach - A must visit beach. This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Cape Town.
In case you want to meet with a real life lighthouse keeper, come here...this beach has a lighthouse, Slangkop lighthouse, which is 100 feet high, the highest in South African coast.
Noordhoek Beach – Want to ride a horse? This beach is popular for horse riding! Interested in exploring a real ship wreck? There is the Kakapo shipwreck over here. You can reach this beach by driving along the Chapman’s peak. Surfing and kite-flying are other activities that you may enjoy on this breathtaking beach!
Hout Bay Cape Town – This beach is popular for fresh seafood, surfing and swimming. It used to be a fishing village, now has a harbor.
Sea Point Cape Town - Great for walks. The nearby Green flea market in Green Point is famous for its flea market.

Milnerton Cape Town - Great for swimming. Known for its lighthouse!
Bloubergstrand Beach – Popular for kitesurfing, kiteflying and long romantic walks. Enjoy whale watching from here when the season is on.
